Carrick RFC is thrilled to announce that our rugby club has been recognised with multiple prestigious awards at this year’s South Ayrshire Sports Awards ceremony. The event, which celebrates excellence in sport, highlighted our club’s exceptional performance, dedication, and spirit both on and off the field.
Our Director of Rugby, Andrew Gamble (sponsored by Robert and Rory Moffat), was recognised with the Volunteer Coach of the Year award for inspiring both personal and team growth in the youth and senior sections of the club.
Senior Women’s player Lauren Brown (sponsored by NHM Electrical Services) - club first-aider; minis coach; hospitality helping-hand – received the Young Volunteer of the Year award for her unwavering commitment to the club and its projects.
Off the field, Carrick RFC was commended for its community engagement, earning the Provost Club of the Year award for its continued efforts in promoting rugby and local initiatives such as Friday Night Diversionary Rugby and Ruck & Roast Chatty Space in Maybole. From grassroots programmes to charity events, our club has made a lasting impact on the community.
These awards are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of our members, coaches, and supporters. We’re incredibly proud of our achievements and look forward to continuing to build on this success in the seasons to come.
Huge congratulations to all the nominees and winners on the night! It was a wonderful celebration of the sport and community cohesion that South Ayrshire has to offer.
Here’s to many more awards, and more importantly, to the incredible journey we share as a club!
